During your blogger's near-daily ca. 70 mins trash-picking stroll/jog in the NW quadrant of the imperial capital, he discovered nothing new on 9/19 (the nothing new includes a used prophylactic on Porter Street; but your scribbler's afoot and  lighthearted  journey confirmed a pattern, not based on scientific research but day-to-day experience, that the number of plastic water bottles (PWBs) he picks up with his newly found tool -- since 9/17 his "trash grabber,"

a gift from a gardener on Connecticut Avenue -- is an average of about five a day (with some days far above but few below that number)

 As for 9/19, for plastic trash statistical fans, here's a street-by-street analysis:

 --Tilden Street: two PWBs

--Spring of Freedom Street (an offshoot of Tilden Street); where the Czech and Hungarian embassies are located: one 

 --Porter Street, the Trash Kingdom of PWBs: two, including one half-filled with urine

-- Connecticut Ave (undergoing major repairs): one
